The 20’s Hideout

The 20’s Hideout will make you feel as if you’re reading The Great Gatsby again for the first time. We started off our evening with fried mushrooms served with a BBQ horseradish dipping sauce. They were a great starter and they fry the whole mushroom which is different, I also really enjoyed the dipping sauce it’s basically creamy bbq. I’d give the fried mushrooms an 8/10. Another great appetizer are the crab cakes they’re also a solid 8/10, real chunks of crab and a great remoulade. For my main course I got the “Bonnie and Clyde” this consists of a 1/2 slab of ribs, a cajun chicken breast and side of potato of which I got the garlic mashed potatoes. Starting with the ribs they were falling off the bone, very lean and no real fat on them. The sauce was tangy and not too sweet. For me it was some of the best ribs in the area 9/10. The chicken was nothing special I actually only ate one bite. It had too much cajun seasoning but it wasn’t dry which is good. I also thought the piece of chicken was quite small. My garlic mashed potatoes were barely warm but did have a good garlic flavor, however, I did have to add salt 6/10. For dessert we got the peach cobbler and man was it tasty. This is the second time I have gotten the peach cobbler from the Hideout and it’s worth it folks. Served warm with vanilla ice cream, it is a must 9/10. Until next time,

-Hope
