The Hopeful Critic

When you’re craving Thai food this is the place to go. You may be used to going to Thai D when you’re in Marion and while I can appreciate Thai D as well, Baan Thai is superior in flavor. When I go I like to get about 20 or so spring rolls and eat them all myself. Fried spring rolls are one of my favorite things and Baan Thai has arguably the best ones 9/10. Their crab rangoons aren’t bad just different, more of a deep fried moment if that makes sense. They are still pretty sweet but not overly so like some 7.5/10. My favorite dish to get is the tofu pad thai. Of course you can get any meat and spice level when it comes to the pad thai. The flavors pop and it’s much saucier than = other pad thai dishes I’ve had in the past. I love the egg and the bean sprouts, the green onion, and the tofu is always cooked to perfection 9/10. Their lunch and dinner portions are virtually the same and it’s a smaller place with a generally quiet atmosphere. I love a quiet space with spa music playing in the background. For an overall score Baan Thai gets an 8.5/10 from me. The only real problem with Baan Thai is that often the food comes out at different times so one person in your party may be way ahead of you in their meal. But the flavor of the food makes it worth it for me. Until next time,
